Advanced Poker Training (APT) has just launched a new poker tool called Poker HandCraft. This tool allows users to enter in any hand they have played in a live cash game or tournament. Users first select their hole cards (and opponents’ cards if they know what those were) and the number of opponents at the table. They then proceed to identify the pre-flop betting action. If the hand proceeded beyond this point, board cards and betting are entered for each street that was played.
In the image below, you can see how the Poker HandCraft interface looks, where you enter the information so as to see the outputs.
After entering this information, the player can watch a replay of the hand as many times as they wish. They are able to pause at any stage of the hand and assess the action at the pace they wish. This assessment may include using APT’s Winning Odds Tool or the use of solvers to re-assess whether their actions were sound given the likely hand range of the opponent(s) and/or bet sizing.
Exploring the Utility of Poker HandCraft
Players are also able to share the replay with friends, coaches, or anyone they like. This tool therefore also facilitates high-level strategy discussion with coaches or colleagues, the kind of feedback that can greatly facilitate a player’s development. While other sites offer replayers, the APT Poker HandCraft tool is unique in that it offers the opportunity to learn from the hand within the tool.
Users have the option to “retry” the hand. While retrying the hand, they can get advice on potential alternate lines of play from APT coaching bots. They can see how their actions are in line with or diverge from what the automated coach suggests. This tool offers APT’s typical benefit of the ability to learn from every hand that you play. The hand can also be kept as part of an archive of other saved hands so that a player can track their actions on similar or a wide variety of hands.
The Uniqueness of Advanced Poker Training
What’s unique about Advanced Poker Training, as opposed to all of the other poker training sites, is that APT is the only poker training option that allows you to learn how to play poker by actually playing the game. Their philosophy is founded on a simple, but critical, teaching precept: people learn faster and better through action and practice. The core Advanced Poker Training tool is their No Limit simulation software. In this tool, you can play hundreds of hands in an hour. This high volume practice allows full sessions to be played in a fraction of the time it would take in a live card room.
After reading all about this tool you’re probably wondering how much it’s going to cost you. Well, that’s the best part! You can utilize the Poker HandCraft tool for FREE, right here. It’s available for all visitors to the Advanced Poker Training site, and does not require a subscription
