One hand after knocking out two players, Joseph Piambino was involved in another all-in hand.

Kenneth Glaser moved all in under the gun for 115,000, Piambino reraised UTG+1 to 300,000, and everyone else folded.

Piambino turned over AhAc, and Glaser said, “Well, at least I have a hand that might crack aces.” Glaser turned over 8c7c, and needed to improve to stay alive.

The board came Ad6d3s7h4c, and Piambino flopped his fifth set in the past six hands to win the pot with a set of aces, eliminating Glaser in 148th place.

Joseph Piambino  –  1,500,000  (60 bb)
Kenneth Glaser  –  Eliminated in 148th Place  ($1,780)

The next hand, Piambino played to a showdown and turned over trips to extend his streak of three-of-a-kind hands, but he lost that pot to another player’s straight.

With 147 players remaining, the average chip stack is around 795,000 (32 big blinds), and the remaining players are guaranteed at least $1,780 each.
