The Mixed Game Festival is coming back for a seventh time and with PokerStars now as a partner, players are in line to win a fantastic bonus — a prize package to the newly revived North American Poker Tour.
Taking place February 25 to 29, Mixed Game Festival VII brings players who love a lot of variety with their poker to the Resorts World in Las Vegas.
Although the buy-in to the two tournaments is only $300, a handful of successful high-stakes players plan to stop by to play. throughout the week They are Nathan Gamble, Kevin Gerhart, Poker Hall of Famer Eli Elezra, Scott Abrams, Andrew Yeh, and Justin Saliba.

A pizza party kicks everything off on Sunday, Feb. 25, which rolls right into the first mixed cash game session with limits spread as low as $4/8 and $8/16.
Like past festivals, this version is about getting together, having fun and also winning some merch from a list of sponsors that includes PokerGO, RunGoodGear, D&B Poker Publishing, BBO Poker Tables, and Faded Spade Playing Cards, with a PokerStars prize package going to the winner of the series main event.
The festival will include a pair of tournaments: A $300 Omaha 8/Stud 8 tournament on Monday, Feb. 26, while a $300 H.E.R.O.S. tournament on Thursday, Feb. 29, acts as the headliner.
Tournament players may also enter a “last longer” competition by wearing a Pokercoaching.com patch. The last player remaining in each tournament still wearing a Pokercoaching patch will win a free one-year Premium membership to Johnathan Little’s training site. It’s valued at over $1,750.
With the Ladies International Poker Series (LIPs) acting as partner, Feb. 28 is “Women’s Wednesday.” Linda Johnson and Jan Fisher will host the session starting at 10 a.m. The ladies will put their skills to test at the cash game tables at noon. Pre-register here.
A Poker Trivia competition will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Hundreds of dollars in prizes will be won followed by (what else?) mixed cash games.
PokerStars stepping up
The winner of the $300 H.E.R.O.S. tournament will also receive a trip to an upcoming NAPT event. The prize package includes a $550 buy-in to any NAPT event that isn’t Texas hold’em, flight to that event, and four nights in a hotel. It’s estimated to be worth $3,000.
A schedule of events should be released by NAPT soon. PokerStars relaunched its series at Resorts World in November.
