Hai Phong, 21st September 2024 — The USOP-Hai Phong and Crown Poker Club are honoured to announce the successful cheque presentation ceremony in support of the victims of Typhoon Yagi. This ceremony follows the USOP-Hai Phong “High Roller Charity Event,” held on 12th September, which was organised specifically to raise funds for those affected by the typhoon.
Key figures in attendance at the cheque presentation included Mr. Tobias Bui, Founder of Crown Poker Club; Mr. Nguyễn Tiến Thành,Co-Founder of Crown Poker Club; Mr. Erique Tan, Vice President of USOP; Mr. Paul Lee, Chief Marketing Officer of USOP; and Ms Phạm Thị Hoà, Vice President of Hai Phong Red Cross Society. Their presence highlighted the importance of this charitable initiative.
The charity event saw a strong response from participants, contributing to its success. In total, the event raised 171 million VND, with the USOP and Crown Poker Club generously adding 29 million VND, bringing the total amount raised to 200 million VND.
Of this, 100 million VND will be donated to flood victims through the Vietnam Fatherland Front, with 100 million VND being presented to the Hai Phong Red Cross. Special recognition goes to USOP-Hai Phong “High Roller Charity Event” champion Hoàng Hải Nam, who contributed an additional 20 million VND, raising the total aid for flood victims to 120 million VND.
This event showcases the poker community’s shared sense of social responsibility and commitment to supporting those in need.
