John Capitano

During Razz, John Capitano folded his first three hands, and was down to his last 10K. He put 3,000 in for the ante, and then he was dealt a Kx and forced to put in the bring-in.

Donny Rubinstein raised to 12,000 with a 7x, and everyone else folded. Capitano called all in for 7,000, and they turned over their cards.

Donny Rubinstein:  (Ax6x)  7x
John Capitano:  (7x6x)  Kx

And this is how their boards ran out:

Donny Rubinstein:  (Ax6x)  7xQx10xAx  (Ax)
John Capitano:  (7x6x)  KxQx7x2x  (7x)

On sixth street, Capitano was still drawing live with a K-Q-7 low against Rubinstein’s Q-10-7 low.

Rubinstein turned over his final card first, and when it gave him trip aces, Capitano had a shot at the double up. But his last card gave him trip sevens, leaving him with a K-Q low. Rubinstein won the pot with his Q-10 to eliminate Capitano in seventh place.

Donny Rubinstein  –  365,000  (15 BB)
John Capitano  –  Eliminated in 7th Place  ($1,435)

With six players remaining from a field of 62, the average chip stack is around 258,000 (11 Big Bets).
