15 events, sky-high guarantees
The World Series of Poker has revealed the full schedule for the 2025 WSOP Paradise, to be held at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas from December 4 through December 18. There will be 15 gold bracelet events across the two weeks.
“This year’s lineup delivers an unbeatable mix of world-class events, record-breaking guarantees, and unforgettable poker moments in one of the most iconic destinations on the planet,” said Joe Brunini, Chief Gaming & Customer Development Officer, Atlantis Paradise Island. “From seasoned pros to newcomers, players from around the globe will find their place in paradise, and their shot at history.”
The highlight of WSOP Paradise is the ridiculous $60 million guarantee for the $25,000 Super Main Event, a new record for a live tournament. And that’s $10 million more than last year’s guaranteed prize pool, which itself was a record.
For such an immense guarantee, it was fairly impressive that the WSOP only had to shell out a $550,000 overlay.
WSOP Paradise has also partnered with the high stakes tour Triton Poker, with six bracelet events managed by Triton. Among them include the $250,000 Triton Invitational and the $100,000 Triton Pot-Limit Omaha Main Event.
Pricey early bird packages
To encourage players to register, WSOP Paradise is offering two early bird packages, and they ain’t cheap.
The $100,000 Paradise Package (one hundred thousand dollars), of which there are only 500 available, includes a 13-night stay at Atlantis from December 5 to December 18 (resort fees included), a $500 room credit to use at the resort, and a complimentary buffet.
Of course, those who buy the package aren’t paying $100,000 for a hotel stay – they also get $100,000 in buy-ins. $26,000 of that is for the Super Main Event and the rest must be used on WSOP Paradise tournaments.
The $300,000 VIP Package is similar, though naturally three times as expensive. The room, resort, and dining perks are better, and the room credit is $1,000. Like the first package, the $300,000 includes the $26,000 Super Main Event buy-in and the remainder must be used to buy-in to WSOP Paradise events.
Online qualifiers will be available on GGPoker, which owns the World Series of Poker brand.
