It’s been another good month for gamblers in America as several nice jackpots were hit. It’s always fun turning a $5 bet into five-figures.
That’s exactly what happened to a player at MGM Springfield in Massachusetts on March 21. An unnamed player bet $5 on the slot machine game “Phoenix Link” and won the jackpot prize of $17,084.09. Yowzers!
On the same day at the same casino, another player turned $1.50 bet into $11,004.18 playing a slot machine called “Dragon Link.”
According to Masslive.com, the Springfield casino distributed more than $100 million in jackpots in 2025, with July recording the highest monthly total when the casino paid out more than $12.9 million in jackpots.
The largest slot machine jackpot won at MGM Springfield happened that month when a player turned a $250 bet into $136,000 playing “All Star Poker 2.″
Speaking of poker, a player won $100,000 playing video poker at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City after betting $125 on a Double Double Bonus Poker Game King machine. He hit a royal flush in hearts for the big payday.
Meanwhile in Bakersfield, Calif., a man won a $340,000 jackpot at Hard Rock Casino Tejon on April 25. Local William Wenger was the lucky winner. He was playing a Light & Wonder Blazing 7’s Nudging Stacks slot machine.
“We couldn’t be happier for William, and we look forward to many more winning celebrations ahead,” Hard Rock Casino Tejon property president Chris Kelley said in a release.
