CoinPoker’s The One puts a $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool and a locked $1,000,000 first prize behind a $250 buy-in, its largest single-event guarantee. Twenty-six Day 1 flights run from October 4 to 12, with Day 2 played on the final day. CoinPoker calls the top prize 4,000 times the entry.

Two mechanics separate The One from a standard multi-flight event. Every Day 1 buy-in is refunded in cash the moment you bag for Day 2, and three free tickets a day go to the players who re-enter the most.

CoinPoker The One in Numbers

Bigger series have run on the site, but never a bigger single tournament, and the $1,000,000 for first is fixed whatever the field does.

The previous high mark for a single event was the $2,500,000 Main Event in May, covered in the $25M World Poker Masters schedule. The One doubles it on the pool and puts a seven-figure floor under first place.

Every Route Into Day 1

The direct entry is the most expensive way in. Four routes are listed, and the cheapest of them costs nothing.

The freeroll and step ladder runs alongside the direct satellites for the whole window, so a seat can be won without a deposit. Satellites reward survival rather than chip accumulation, which is why our satellite tournament strategy guide is worth a read before the first step event.

Flight Schedule and Time Zones

Three flights run every day from October 4 to 11, spaced so that one lands in prime time on each continent. Two turbo flights on the final day are the last chance to bag before Day 2 starts.

The times are published in UTC. The conversions below hold for the whole window, since both US and European clocks change after October 12.

The Buy-In-Back Rule Explained

CoinPoker calls it Flight Buy-In-Back, and it changes the maths on every flight after your first bag. When you qualify for Day 2 from any Day 1, the $250 you paid for that flight is refunded in cash.

You can keep entering later flights after qualifying. Each extra flight you bag is also refunded, and the stacks that do not go through are paid out rather than lost.

The extra payment for a surplus bag is the Day 2 minimum cash prize minus the flight buy-in, paid on top of the refund. The Day 2 payout structure has not been published, so the exact min-cash figure will only be known once the field is set.

Two limits apply. The rule covers real-money entries only, and a bust flight is a bust flight, with no refund on the way out.

The Daily Re-Entry Race

The second promotion runs for the first eight days of flights. Each day, the three players with the most real-money re-entries into The One each win a free Day 1 ticket.

The first tiebreaker favours paying members, one more line on the balance sheet for anyone weighing up a subscription. GOPC Into The One: What Happens Next

The GOPC’s $3,000,000 Main Event finishes as The One’s satellite ladder opens, so the room moves from one flagship to the next without a gap. The first freerolls in the lobby will settle which of CoinPoker’s two published start dates is right.
