Powering through the star-studded field were Marc Rivera, and Quang Huy Nguyen. Mike Takayama continued his incredible run, holding the chip lead for some time. During the late rounds, Takayama knocked out Victor Chong on a cooler with QcQd over JcJs.

Just before the close of day, Gary Thompson surged past Takayama after knocking out Young Hoon Kim with 9d9s set over 8d7d on a board 8cQh{ 9h}7h3s.

Racking up the third largest was top Malaysian pro Michael Soyza. He was seen dragging in a big pot by eliminating Hyung Tai Kim who called Soyza’s five-bet shove with Ah4h only to run into Soyza’s AsAd.
