Bulgarian high roller Boris Angelov has taken down the €10,200 Mystery Bounty at EPT Paris, banking €217,100. The 75-entry high roller drew a stacked international field, but Angelov navigated the minefield of mystery envelopes and elite competition to emerge as the latest big winner in the French capital.
Out of the 75 total entries, only eight players reached the official final table and a slice of the regular prize pool. Angelov ultimately converted his run into €97,100 from the main payout plus €120,000 in collected bounties for his final €217,100 score.
The finale developed into a Bulgarian one-two as seasoned pro Dimitar Danchev joined his countryman at the business end of the tournament. Danchev, a former PCA champion and long-time regular on the high roller circuit, had to settle for the runner-up spot but still locked up €62,700 in prize money and €87,500 in mystery envelopes for a healthy €150,200 payday.
Uruguay’s Marcelo Bonanata completed the podium in third place, earning €44,800 from the regular prize pool.
The final table was packed with familiar names from the European circuit.
Sweden’s Sven Andersson put together another deep run and walked away with €34,450 plus €10,000 in bounties for €44,450 total, while fellow Swede Alexander Ivarsson collected €21,050 plus €22,500 in mystery payouts, good for €43,550.
High roller fixture Alex Kulev also reached the final eight and took away €16,850, plus €22,500 in bounties, cashing €39,350 in total.
Austrian pro Klemens Roiter bowed out in fifth place, but he made the most of the Mystery Bounty format, banking €26,500 from the main prize pool and an additional €57,500 in bounties for a combined €84,000. That figure effectively made him the third-biggest overall winner in the event despite officially finishing fifth.
With Angelov’s victory, the €10,200 Mystery Bounty has once again proven itself as one of the most exciting side events on the EPT schedule. With the EPT Main Event well underway, it looks like the 2026 Paris fixture is more than making up for its absence in 2025.
