Players Remaining: 475 of 1,417
The opening flights of the 2026 WPT Poker Showdown locked in a field with 1,417 entries, putting more than $4.5 million in the prize pool, and 475 players return at noon for Day 2. They’ll begin the process of playing down to our Champion with ten more levels today.
Eric Yanovsky bagged the overall lead last night with a lot of talent in the field, including NFL Hall of Famer Richard Seymour, high-roller Cherish Andrews, former Showdown Champ Tony Sinishtaj, and WPT RRPO runner-up Joel Gola in the top ten.
Only 178 of them will make the money and the bubble should hit shortly after the dinner break. They will continue to play 60-minute levels until they increase to 90 minutes when 40 players remain.
