Event 1 Flight A: Meir Meystel Bags Big

$400 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$2,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 17:  3,000/6,000 with a 6,000 ante
Flight A Players Remaining:  50 of 497

Meir Meystel

Turns out hand-for-hand was not needed today in Flight A; with 51 players remaining and dealers told to hold up their action, we lost a player on Table 11 on their last hand to put the rest of the field in the money.

Meir Meystel made a late surge and bagged a huge lead with 857,000. It looks like a lot of them came from Chris Lewis who dipped under 300K in the last level. He finished with more than double of second-place Roberto Bendeck’s 413,000.

With such a big stack sitting in his bag, Meystel is the early front-runner to earn the Club WPT Gold Passport awarded to the returning Day 2 chip leader. He is in the clubhouse with a healthy lead and could walk away with an entry to the Club WPT $5,000,000 freeroll in Las Vegas in December.

We will post the full chip count list later this evening.

  1. Meir Meystel – 857,000 (143 bb)
  2. Roberto Bendeck – 413,000 (69 bb)
  3. Marc Sacheli – 394,000 (66 bb)
  4. Gabriel Sierra – 372,000 (62 bb)
  5. Claudio Bernal – 322,000 (54 bb)
  6. Michael O’Mally – 321,000 (54 bb)
  7. Brent Hoover – 317,000 (53 bb)
  8. Salvatore Tangredi – 284,000 (47 bb)
  9. Sebastian Espinoza – 282,000 (47 bb)
  10. Sammy Summers – 272,000 (45 bb)
