Sergio Giha raised under the gun to 500,000, and Sean Astwood moved all in from middle position for 625,000. Michael Newman called from the hijack, and Giha also called. Any further betting would create a side pot.

The flop came AdQd9d, Giha bet 500,000, and Newman called.

The turn card was the 3d, Giha bet 500,000, and Newman folded AsJc face up.

Astwood turned over Jh9c for a pair of nines, but he was drawing dead against Giha’s AhKd — a king-high flush.

The meaningless river card was the 2d, and Giha won the pot with his higher flush to eliminate Astwood in eighth place.

Sergio Giha  –  15,200,000  (61 bb)
Michael Newman  –  8,900,000  (36 bb)
Sean Astwood  –  Eliminated in 8th Place  ($22,500)

With seven players remaining from a field of 4,265, the average chip stack is around 12,175,000 (49 big blinds). The remaining players are guaranteed at least $29,000 each.
