Five players limp for 6,000 each to see a flop of Qs10c8s. Marc Geissel pot-bets 36,000 from the small blind, German Gomez calls from the big blind, and Max Harris calls from under the gun.

Carlos Damian Mora reraises from the hijack to about 275,000, and Michael Largent folds from the cutoff.

Geissel calls all in for 95,000, and Gomez tanks for a long time before he folds, saying, “I can’t believe I’m folding this.”

Harris says the same thing as he open-folds AhAs7s5c2h for the ace-high flush draw. Mora and Geissel turn over their cards.

Carlos Damian Mora:  QhQc10s2s2c  (set of queens, ten-high flush draw)
Marc Geissel:  Js9h8h5s4h  (queen-high straight, jack-high flush draw)

The turn card was the 2d, the river card was the 3s, and Geissel rivered the higher flush to win the pot and nearly triple up in chips. (If Harris had called, he would have won the entire pot to double thru Mora and eliminate Geissel.)

Marc Geissel  –  298,000  (50 bb)
Carlos Damian Mora  –  600,000  (100 bb)

With six players remaining from a field of 71, the average chip stack is around 237,000 (40 big blinds). The remaining players are guaranteed at least $2,870 each.
