Andreas Athanasopoulos limped from the cutoff for 125,000, Dmitri Zaitsev completed the small blind, and Minh Nguyen checked his option in the big blind.

The flop came As8d2d, Zaitsev checked, and Nguyen moved all in for 485,000. Athanasopoulos thought for a while before he called, and Zaitsev folded.

Nguyen turned over 8h5c for a pair of eights, but Athanasopoulos turned over Ad7c for a pair of aces. Nguyen needed to improve to stay alive.

The turn card was the 7h, the river card was the 10s, and Athanasopoulos won the pot with two pair, aces and sevens, to eliminate Nguyen in fifth place.
