Al Norman raised from the button to 900,000, and Diane Lepera called from the big blind.

The flop came Kh4d4c, Lepera checked, Norman bet 1,000,000, and Lepera check-raised to 3,000,000. Norman called.

The turn card was the 7s, and Lepera moved all in for 8,400,000. Norman waited for an exact count, and counted out enough for a call to assess his own stack. Norman thought a bit more before he called with AhAd, asking if Lepera had a four.

Lepera said she’d need some help as she turned over 8s8c, and indeed she’d need an eight on the river to stay alive.

The river card was the 3d, and Norman won the pot with his pocket aces to eliminate Lepera in 12th place in the biggest pot of the tournament, worth 25.2 million.

Al Norman  –  29,100,000  (73 bb)
Diane Lepera  –  Eliminated in 12th Place  ($18,200)

With 11 players remaining from a field of 5,658, the average chip stack is around 10,275,000 (26 big blinds). The remaining players are guaranteed at least $18,200 each, and the next pay jump is $22,700 for 10th place.
