Two players were eliminated nearly simultaneously to knock the field down to 48 players, and with only 47 spots being paid, it was time to begin hand-for-hand play on the Money Bubble.

But there were several hands in progress that needed to play to a conclusion first, including the following hand at Table 19.

David Gries raised under the gun to 14,000, the UTG+1 player called, and the player in the hijack moved all in for 44,000.

Romeo Mendoza called all in from the small blind for 39,000, and Noah Schwartz went into the tank for a long time with 52,000 left behind his 5,000 big blind.

(It was during Schwartz’s tank that the field reached the final 48 players to begin the Money Bubble.)

Schwartz eventually folded, and Gries quickly moved all in over the top for nearly 200,000. The UTG+1 player quickly folded, and all three players turned over their cards:

David Gries:  KhKd
Hijack:  Ah10h
Romeo Mendoza:  JsJc

The board came 8d7s4h8s9h, and the kings held up for Gries to win the entire pot and eliminate both players from the flight.

That knocked the field down to 46 players, bursting the Money Bubble. But there was another hand in progress at another table that also led to an elimination, ending the flight with just 45 players.

Stay tuned for a recap from this flight and official chip counts.
