In just less than a week, the awaited Asian Poker Tour games is slated to hit the tables with its second offering for the year, APT Jeju 2024 running at the luxurious Landing Casino, Jeju Shinhwa World, South Korea in partnership with Landing Entertainment Korea. From April 26 – May 5, the ten-day festival is in for a smashing return since its previous 2017 appearance on the island, this time boasting over KRW 5,000,000,000 (~USD 3.76 Million) in prizes to be awarded across a busy 91 event lineup. Players can expect a variety of games to choose from with several guaranteed tournaments listed on schedule whilst covering a wide range of buy-ins from KRW 300,000 (~USD 228) to KRW 30,000,000 (~USD 22,830).

Aside from the great value events in store, international runners who wish to take a short break in-series can do so with at least fifteen cash game tables available beginning on Thursday, April 25th. Additionally, those in search of other avenues away from poker will be glad to know that the island offers a ton of scenic spots, stunning beaches, and a number of UNESCO World Heritage sites to explore. This season’s star of the show remains to be the festival’s KRW 2,000,000,000 (~US$ 1,500,000) guaranteed Main Event which kicks off this coming Monday, April 29th. For a buy-in of KRW 2,500,000 (~US$ 1,800), players can choose from four different starting flights on schedule, offering varying blind levels – the first one allowing more room for play with 60 minute blinds. Flight B comes in following with 45 minutes on the clock, and two final flights on Wednesday, May 1st, both running 30 minute blind levels. 

Each entry buys a starting stack of 40,000, equivalent to 400 times the starting blinds. Runners who fail to survive the qualifying rounds will have a last minute chance to enter just before the start of Day 2. Daily gameplay will conclude at the end of ten levels, all the way down to a champion by evening of Day 4, Saturday, May 4th.

To avoid any delays, players are suggested to pre-register for their APT Registration Card online, open until 12 noon, April 25th. Once registered, a physical card can be collected at the venue and be used for all upcoming APT events, as well as to enjoy certain discounts at Jeju Shinhwa World.

Moreso, players will be required to present proper identification such as a valid government issued passport or photo ID in order to join the games and eventually, claim their winnings.

Roughly 40 minutes to an hour from the Jeju International Airport, players can take advantage of the bus service running at least thrice a day with seven different pick up points available throughout the two routes.
