GGPoker has announced the return of the Bounty Hunters Series, running April 5 to 28, 2026, with a record $80,000,000 total guarantee. That makes it the largest guaranteed bounty series in online poker history, up 60% from last year’s $50M edition.

The series features both Progressive Bounty and Mystery Bounty formats, with buy-ins starting at $1.08. Three multi-stage marquee events anchor the schedule, a $1,000,000 daily leaderboard runs throughout, and Ontario gets its own $2M dedicated series.
Players signing up through our full GGPoker review with rakeback breakdown with bonus code VIPGRINDERS lock in a 100% matched bonus up to $600 and up to 80% rakeback through Ocean Rewards. GGPoker is available globally excluding the United States.
Three Headline Events Anchor the Schedule
The Bounty Hunters Series builds on GGPoker’s regular bounty schedule with $1M+ daily. Three multi-stage events sit at the top of the April schedule.
$108 Mystery Bounty Main Event: $5M GTD
The centrepiece. Day 1 flights run throughout the series, with Day 2 on April 27. Ten players will pull a $100,000 mystery bounty from the prize pool. At $108 to enter, the ratio of buy-in to guarantee is 1:46,296.
$25 Mystery Bounty Mini Main: $2.5M GTD
Same mystery bounty format at a fraction of the price. Day 2 falls on April 13, making this the first of the three marquee events to conclude. A $25 buy-in chasing a $2.5M guarantee gives recreational players a genuine shot at a five-figure score.
$5.40 Bounty Hunters Warm Up: $1M GTD
The lowest-stakes flagship event, with its final stage on April 20. A $5.40 buy-in for a $1M guarantee means anyone with a funded account can play for a life-changing prize.
Full Buy-In Tier Breakdown
The schedule is built to accommodate every bankroll level. Here is how the buy-in tiers map to the key events and recommended bankroll ranges for regular play.
| Buy-In Tier | Key Events | Leaderboard Points | Suggested Bankroll |

| $1.08 to $5.40 | Warm Up ($1M GTD), daily micro events | 1 point per KO | $50 to $150 |

Bankroll recommendations assume 50 to 100 buy-ins for regular tournament play. Players stepping up in stakes can sharpen their edge with our tournament strategy guides for ICM and bubble play.
$1,000,000 Daily Leaderboard
Every Bounty Hunters Series tournament feeds into a daily leaderboard distributing $40,000+ per day across the full 24-day schedule. The top performer each day earns the “Daily Bounty King” title.
Points are awarded per knockout based on the tournament’s buy-in tier.
- $1 to $25 buy-in: 1 point per knockout
- $25.01 to $99.99 buy-in: 2 points per knockout
- $100 to $299 buy-in: 4 points per knockout
- Leaderboard window: resets daily at 08:00 UTC. Prizes distributed within 72 hours.
Volume grinders playing multiple events per day across the $25 to $100 range can stack points fast while keeping buy-ins manageable. The leaderboard rewards consistency across the full series, not just single deep runs.

Progressive Bounty vs Mystery Bounty
The series runs both formats. Knowing the difference matters for strategy and event selection.
In Progressive Bounty (PKO) events, half your buy-in goes to the regular prize pool and half becomes your bounty. Knock someone out and you collect half their bounty immediately. The other half adds to your own, making you a bigger target.
The maths shifts significantly compared to standard tournaments because every elimination has direct cash value.

In Mystery Bounty events, eliminated players trigger a random prize draw. Most bounties are modest, but the top prizes can be enormous. The $108 Main Event includes ten $100,000 mystery bounties, which means any single knockout could pay nearly 1,000x the buy-in.
Our dedicated mystery bounty strategy breakdown covers how the random element changes push-fold and bubble dynamics.
Ontario Gets a Dedicated $2M Series
Ontario players have their own $2,000,000 guaranteed Bounty Hunters Series running April 5 to 27. The centrepiece is a $250,000 GTD Mystery Bounty Main Event.
The segregated schedule exists because Ontario’s regulated market operates as a ring-fenced player pool under iGaming Ontario rules. Despite the smaller guarantees, the Ontario series follows the same format structure and feeds into the same leaderboard points system.
How to Play the Bounty Hunters Series
The full schedule is live in the GGPoker tournament lobby. Players can register for Day 1 flights of the three marquee events at any point during the series. GGPoker typically runs satellite feeders at a fraction of the direct buy-in.
