Organized by Global Poker Index Asia and CTP Club, GPI Asia Poker Festival is set to make a triumphant return in Taipei City, Taiwan with ten days of games taking place at the Asia Poker Arena. Now in its third installment, the annual event takes place from May 17 to 26, 2024. With poker in the country growing in leaps and bounds, larger returns have been promised highlighted by a guaranteed prize pool exceeding 5 Million New Taiwan Dollars (~USD 153,700). GPI Asia Poker Festival
GPI Asia Poker Festival is considerably the most unique and fun poker festivals worldwide. It features three exciting poker events, each one bringing something different to the felt. As a low-tier festival, buy ins are light on the pocket ranging NTD $1,500 (~USD $45) to the highest of NTD $30,000 (~USD $920).
Global Poker League
The Global Poker League kicks off the festivities. It is the most exciting Teams Event introduced in Asia featuring a NTD $300,000 (~USD $9,200) guarantee. Now in its seventh edition, the three-day event will see teams compete in various formats and in two variants – No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha. Buy in is NTD $20,000 (~USD $615) per team. Each team is made up of four players – 1 captain and 3 players. In addition to the cash prize, the winning team will receive THM Championship Taiwan seats worth NTD $7,000 per member.
The Hendon Mob Championship Taiwan
Hendon Mob, the largest poker database in the world, will once again be part of the festivities offering three tounanaments with a combined NTD $2,000,000 (~USD 61,500) guarantee.
- THMC Mini Main: This is a one day event featuring NTD $500,000 (~USD $15,370) guarantee. Buy ins is NTD $3,500 (~USD $110). During the previous edition, the prize pool climbed well over NTD $800K. Event runs on opening day, May 17, 2024.
- THMC Mystery Bounty: This is the most popular bounty event format worldwide. It is a two-day event featuring NTD $500,000 (~USD $15,370) guarantee. Buy ins is NTD $3,500 (~USD $110). It runs May 20 to 21, 2024. To get in for free, players can jump in the Freeroll taking place in the morning of May 20,2024.
- THM Championship: This is the brand’s flagship tournament featuring a guarantee of NTD $1,000,000 (~USD 30,700). It is a three-day event kicked off by two starting days followed by the Final Day. Buy in is NTD $7,000 (~USD 220). The event pays out 14% (1 of 7) of the field. At the previous edition, the guarantee was surpassed by its 203 entry field.
Master Poker Series
The Master Poker Series comprises the majority of the schedule with numerous tournaments that include Freezeout, Bounty Hunter, 6-Max, Mixed NLH/PLO, Turbo, High Roller Single Day, and High Roller 6-Max. There is also a Freeroll to the Mystery Bounty Event.

- MPS Mystery Bounty; This popular event runs for two days featuring a guarantee of NTD $1,000,000 (~USD $30,700). Buy ins is NTD $8,000 (~USD $245). It runs May 18 to 19, 2024. The first day is dedicated to two entry flights followed by the ITM round / final day.

- MPS Main Event: This is the final highlight of the entire festival and the one that will surely draw the biggest crowd with its NTD $2,000,000 (~USD $61,400) guarantee. Event runs May 24 to 26, 2024 with three entry flights over the first two days. The event pays out 14% (1 of 7) of the field.
GPI Asia Masterboard Award Ceremony
Additionally, the annual GPI Asia Masterboard Award Ceremony will be held to commemorate the achievement of top players in the Taiwan poker community throughout the year.
