The way West Virginians engage with their state lottery has shifted. What once required a trip to a licensed retailer now fits in your pocket. iPLAY, the West Virginia Lottery’s digital platform, has introduced a new level of convenience for players across the Mountain State.
For decades, buying a POWERBALL© or MEGA MILLIONS® ticket meant stopping by a store. Now, you can play through iPLAY from wherever you are – whether that’s your living room in Charleston or a coffee shop in Morgantown. The platform brings draw-based games and iNSTANTS directly to your phone or computer, 24/7.
What makes iPLAY different
You’ll gain more control over how you participate. The platform includes features designed to match the way people actually want to play.
Take Auto-Renewal, for example. If you’ve got your go-to numbers for POWERBALL© or prefer to stick with the same Quick Pick for Lotto America©, you can set up automatic purchases for each draw.
Then there’s Jackpot Threshold Auto Renewal – a newer addition that lets you define when you want to jump in. Set your jackpot threshold for POWERBALL©, MEGA MILLIONS®, or Lotto America©, and the platform will automatically purchase tickets once that amount is hit. It’s a “set it and forget it” approach if you prefer to participate only when the top prize reaches a certain level.
Player control at the center
One of the most significant updates to iPLAY is the introduction of player-controlled deposit limits. This feature puts budgeting decisions directly in your hands. You decide what works for your preferences and adjust as needed.
Payment options have expanded, too. Alongside traditional methods, iPLAY now accepts PayPal, making it easier to fund your account using a payment method you already use.
What’s available on iPLAY
The platform covers the full range of West Virginia Lottery draw games. Each game operates the same way it does in-store, just online through iPLAY.
There are also iNSTANTs, which offer a different type of play. These digital games provide instant results and come in various themes and price points. Unlike physical scratch-offs (which you can scan through iPLAY but not play digitally), iNSTANTs are built for online, fast-paced gameplay.
It’s worth noting that some games remain in-store only. Ca$h Pop, KENO, and KENO GO are not available through iPLAY and require a visit to a licensed lottery retailer.
The West Virginia Lottery continues to expand what’s possible through iPLAY. Millionaire for Life™, the WVL’s newest game, launched February 22, 2026, and is now available both in-store and through the platform. This new national draw game features daily drawings with a top prize of $1,000,000 a year for life.
For Android users, there’s one extra step. The app needs to be downloaded directly from the WVL website, not the Google Play Store. iPhone users can download straight from the App Store.
While draw games remain the same, there’s now more flexibility in how and when you choose to participate your way with iPLAY.
