Jin Bei Group Opens First International Poker Event in Sihanoukville, Cambodia

Jin Bei Palace

It has been years since an international poker series has taken place in the gorgeous coastal destination of Sihanoukville, Cambodia and looking to revive it is the Jin Bei Group with an event aptly called the Jin Bei Cup. Since its announcement, the three-day series has been one hot topic, especially among the high rollers with the Short Deck Main Event guaranteeing a jaw dropping US$ 5,000,000 and the buy in at a steep US$ 50,300.

While that may seem like a tall order, especially with this variant limited in numbers worldwide, poker icons Tom Dwan, Daniel “Jungleman” Cates, and Martin Nielsen have all confirmed participation. A large contingent of Chinese pros are also expected. At the time of writing, Cates had already been spotted in the venue.

The Jin Bei Cup runs from May 7 to 9, 2024 at the Jin Bei Palace. The games have officially kicked off with the Single Day NLH series opener featuring a US$ 5,300 buy in. Interested players can register using cold hard cash or USDT, Byex, and Hui One. This event is a good indication of who will pull up seats at tomorrow’s headliner. Among the early arrivals is multi-decorated Chinese ace Quan Zhou who recently championed a Triton PLO 6-Handed in Jeju, South Korea.
