The 20th Edition of PokerStars LIVE Manila Super Series concluded another Main Event flight at premier resort Okada Manila in Manila, Philippines and once again it was an action-packed day. The second of four entry heats drew a larger 330 entry field for a combined 558 entries. This sent the prize pool soaring just inches away from the PHP 10 Million (~USD 171,180) guarantee. With two flights yet to take place, a new record for this event is a certainty. The question is, how high will it be?

Karen Talamayan rules the day

Recapping Flight B, the field was decorated with players from all over including a large contingent of Korean players. To close out the day, well known pro Seungmook Jung delivered the bubble with pocket Queens dusting Ryuki Shirase’s pocket Sevens. While this drew cheers from the remaining players, earning the highest praise was Karen Talamayan who amassed a towering 929,000 stack. This was equivalent to 31 starting stacks, sixty big blinds ahead of the closest challenger.

Throughout the day, Talamayan was a wrecking ball, knocking out players at every turn. One hand was quite a shocker, holding 4c3c on utg that improved to a full house to crush a player’s straight. You can read up on her impressive day via the live updates.
