Mills, who has branded herself the “PokerMomma,” used to be a livestream poker commentator for Stones Live Poker and has a budding social and poker media presence. She recently appeared on the World Poker Tour’s Ladies Cash Game stream at December’s WPT World Championships.

From Owasso, which is a couple hundred and miles or so north of Durant, Mills made six final tables at WSOP Circuit events since last January, and all but one happened at Choctaw Durant. She also finished fifth for $35,539 in the $1,700 WSOP Circuit Main Event at Hard Rock Tulsa in March.

Two at one

Mills won her first ring in Event #13, a $1,000 Monster Stack that attracted 352. The $66,009 that came with the bling is her largest lifetime cash.

But she wasn’t done yet.

A few days later, Mills won her second ring in Event #16 — “The Finale” — a $400 event that closed the Series at Choctaw Durant and brought in 322. As the final table whittled itself down to the final three, the event become an impromptu LIPS celebration, as the last three were players who also happened to be women.

She not only added another $22,433 to her stack by taking it down, but also got a wave of love and encouragement from the ladies who stuck around to cheer.

,”I am amazed by what I saw tonight from all the women playing and supporting each other,” Mills wrote on social media after her victory. “Almost all of these women in my rail photo are winners.”

Runner-up Jacqueline Gomez ($13,865) and third-place finisher Tetiana Zaitseva ($9,907) made their first WSOP cashes memorable. According to the Hendon Mob, this was the first cash for Zaitseva, and the second for Gomez.

Mills was the only player at the final table of nine who owned a ring. Four players cashed in their first WSOP events: Adam Bailey (sixth for $4,046), Harley Gollert (ninth for $1,972), and the aforementioned women.
