He started the double-dipping run by winning the $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em event on Monday for $266,100.

The deepstack event attracted only 66 entries, but the top nine who made it to the money were some of the premiere players currently competing on the big buy-in tournament trail.

He beat high-stakes cash star Alex Keating heads-up. Finishing in third was Clemen Deng for $79,135. Deng will soon surpass $5 million tournament cashes.

Fourth-place and fifth place went to poker couple Cherish Andrews and Brock Wilson ($56,525 and $43,605). Yang Wang finished sixth for $33,915, Matthew Zambanini seventh for $29,070, Dylan Smith eighth for $25,840, and Asher Conniff pushed his tournament cashes into the $5 million neighborhood with a ninth-place finish for $22,610.

The very next day, Kolev jumped into the $25,000 High Roller event that carried a $1 million prize guarantee. He added another $465,900 to his stack, as well as another trophy, by taking the whole thing down.

With only 51 entries, the top seven were paid.

The runner-up was Max Neugebauer ($277,200) followed by Brandon Wilson ($170,100), David Coleman ($119,700), Justin Liberto ($94,500), Brock Wilson ($75,600) and Thomas Boivin ($56,700).

Kolev is approaching the $6 million lifetime tournament cashes mark.

His biggest score came just in April at the $10,400 event at the MILLIONS by Merit Poker Classic in Kyrenia. The victory was worth a cool $1 million.

Other career highlights include two World Series of Poker bracelets, which he won in 2021 and 2023.

Dussan also sees double

Kolev wasn’t the only player who had to lug two Seminole Hard Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open trophies home.

Columbia’s Dario Dussan kicked-off the SHRRPO with a victory in the series’ first event, a $400 no-limit contest that attracted a huge field of 6,853. The event was fed through a bunch of Day 1’s, and the players were lured by the $2 million guarantee.

The $278,150 he took for outlasting everyone was the best in his life.

Dussan put $3,000 of that towards the entry fee required for the Pot Limit High Roller that took place Dec. 1. By the end of the day, he was the last of 62 entrants with chips, giving him another $61,075 for the series.

These four events were part of a 52 event series that attracted a total of 16,636 entries who built a collective prize-pool of $12,391,160.
