Oklahoma Tribal Leader Disputes Kalshi Partnership Claims Over Prediction Market App

A disagreement over a reported partnership between prediction market operator Kalshi and an Oklahoma tribe has come to light, with conflicting accounts emerging from the parties involved. According to Legal Sports Report, a dispute has surfaced regarding Kalshi’s claimed tribal partnership in Oklahoma.

The chief of Alabama-Quassarte Tribal Town stated, according to Legal Sports Report, that the tribe did not enter into a partnership with Kalshi or any other prediction market operator. The denial stands in direct contrast to an announcement Kalshi made on October 7, in which the company said it had added four tribal partners, with Alabama-Quassarte Tribal Town listed among them.

In that same announcement, Kalshi said the tribe would launch a prediction market application called PokkeTrades, built on Kalshi’s exchange infrastructure. The company’s announcement identified Wilson Yargee as the tribe’s chief and Michael Stopp as vice president of economic development, Legal Sports Report noted.
