Cards are flying high at WPT Cambodia – Passport To The World Championship at NagaWorld Integrated Resorts in capital city Phnom Penh. The highly anticipated festival is off to a promising start, with the opening side events drawing a big crowd and tables filled with notable players.

WPT Cambodia – Opening Day Events
The WPT Cambodia Passport to the World Championship festival opened with the NagaWorld Superstack and at the time of posting the field had grown to 144 entries. Registration is still open for those wanting to jump in, closing at 4pm local time. Buy in is USD 300.
Among the players getting an early start is Vietnam’s Kyle Bao Diep. Diep has been ripping the felt this year with a 6th place finish at the first ever WPT Cambodia Championship in January for USD 90,500 and three five figure payouts at Vietnam local events.
Back on the Cambodia felt as well is French player Adrien Berger who won a side event in January. Berger often plays the WPT events at this location.
Over at the Deepstack Mini High Roller 17 entries at the time of posting. Registration is open until 5:40pm. Buy in is USD 1,650. Among the early go-ers is WPT Cambodia Championship Player Of The Festival, Jinlong Hu, who is a regular in the Asian poker circuit. On the burner are two events – Championship Warm Up $100K Guaranteed with starts at 4pm. This is the first phased event of the festival with three flights offered. Flight A registration closes at 8:50pm this evening, before the start of Level 10. Buy in is USD 550. The next two flights run tomorrow, Saturday, July 13, 2024.
For players looking to play in the evening, the Superstack Big Bounty Hyper Turbo begins at 8pm. This fast-paced game only gives you 15 seconds to act so expect a thrilling race from start to finish. Buy in is $250. Registration closes at 9:40pm.
