PokerGO Monthly Preview: August 2024

The World Series of Poker may be in the rearview mirror, but the action doesn’t stop on PokerGO! New seasons of High Stakes Poker and No Gamble, No Future are here, while more cash game action heads to Texas with the Champions Club Texas Cash Game Festival.

For the tournament fans out there, the $300,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl IX heads to Cyprus with nine additional side events and buy-ins ranging from $25,000 to $100,000.

High Stakes Poker

Season 13 of High Stakes Poker is finally here, and the season begins with a $200/$400 No-Limit Hold’em cash game headlined by Andrew Robl and Jennifer Tilly. Also, in the lineup to open the season are High Stakes Poker debutants Bo Brownstein, Masato Yokosawa, Sameh Elamawy, and Sean Dempsey.

To close out the month, a new lineup will include Robl, Elamawy, Brownstein, Tilly, Yokosawa, while Brandon Steven, Justin Gavri, and Andrew Pacheco join the mix to continue the $200/$400 No-Limit Hold’em action.

No Gamble, No Future

New season of High Stakes Poker AND No Gamble, No Future? Sure, why not! Season 5 of No Gamble, No Future is also here with $200/$400 No-Limit Hold’em cash game action kicking off the brand-new season.

The opening lineup of Season 5 includes Phil Hellmuth, Nik Airball, Alan Keating, Matt Hanks, Ryan Feldman, Humboldt Mike, and Jean-Robert Bellande. Hellmuth has already unleashed a worldclass blow-up after Humboldt Mike delivered him a huge river bad beat. This lineup of players continues for two more episodes before a new set of players sit down to play $100/$100 No-Limit Hold’em, and include Hellmuth, Justin Young, Joel Prelog, Sashimi Poker, Mike Burns, Julian Parmann, and Shawn Madden.

Champions Club Texas Cash Game Festival

The boys are heading back to Texas for another cash game festival. Brent Hanks and Jeff Platt will be on the call for five days of cash game action from Champions Club Texas with a variety of players battling on the livestream.

Headlining the action is Phil Hellmuth who will be playing three nights of $25/$50 No-Limit Hold’em alongside his son, Jared Bleznick, Brandon Cantu, Jason White, Kasey “pokermommaa” Mills, Wolfgang Poker, and Randy 3coin.

The opening cash game stream on Monday, August 5, will be $25/$50 Pot-Limit Omaha game headline by WSOP bracelet winner Will Leffingwell. The final cash game stream of the week on Friday, August 9 will be $100/$200 No-Limit Hold’em and include Bleznick, Cantu, and Randy 3coin.

Super High Roller Bowl IX

The Super High Roller Bowl IX is back for 2024 and will be run at Onyx Club at Merit Royal in Cyprus. Alongside the $300,000 buy-in marquee event, there are nine side events with buy-ins ranging from $25,000 to $100,000, and a mix of No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha events.

Some of the best players in the world will be attending this freezeout-only series, including recent WSOP bracelet winners Chris Hunichen and Sergio Aido, high-stakes crushers Mikita Badziakouski and Adrian Mateos, Omaha wizard Joni Jouhkimainen, and PGT regulars Jeremy Ausmus, Aram Zobian, and Seth Davies.

The livestream action will begin on PokerGO on Sunday, August 18, at 11 a.m. ET with the final table of the $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Max, while the next four days will include two $25,000 buy-in events, followed by the $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em 7-Max and $100,000 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Max.

Beginning on Friday, August 23, at 4 p.m. ET will be Day 1 of Super High Roller Bowl IX, with Day 2 action being livestreamed at 11 a.m. ET on Saturday, August 24. The final table will kick off on Sunday, August 25, at 11 a.m. ET.

Celebrity Poker Tour Game Night

The third Game Night from the Celebrity Poker Tour takes center stage in the PokerGO Studio Triangle Room on August 12. Another sit-n-go featuring a wide array of poker players and social media influencers will compete for the $10,000 first-place prize and $5,000 runner-up prize.

The first Game Night held in March would see Maria Ho crowned the winner after defeating Tommy Unold heads-up, while Game Night II was won by Wolfgang Poker after he defeated Tana Mongeau in April.

Game Night III will include Mongeau, Bryce Hall, Zach Justice, Makoa Da Silva, Ethan Klein, JC Caylen, Aaron Steinberg, Hila Klein, and Sofie Dossi.
