PokerStars, PokerGO Team-Up Provides Fans WSOP Livestream for Free

Shuffle up and watch the deal

Two rivals teaming up for the good of the people. Crazy, I know, but that’s what’s happening with GGPoker and PokerStars this summer. GGPoker, the world’s largest online poker room, owns the World Series of Poker. PokerGO is the exclusive broadcaster, via its subscription livestream service, of the 2025 WSOP. Recently, though, PokerStars, the world’s second largest online poker room, announced a deal with PokerGO that makes Stars the lead sponsor of PokerGo’s livestream coverage.

That sponsorship in and of itself is a nothingburger to nearly everybody. Who cares if PokerStars’ logo is on the screen, right? As it turns out, though, this is actually a very big deal. With the sponsorship, PokerStars will simulcast PokerGO’s WSOP streams on its Twitch and YouTube channels until July 8. For free.

Up until now, poker fans who wanted to watch the World Series of Poker action had to pay for a PokerGO subscription. $19.99 a month, $39.99 a quarter, or $99.99 a year. You still get loads more archived tournaments and original shows on PokerGO, but for those who are only interested in the WSOP, a paid subscription isn’t always something they want.

Now that doesn’t matter. Nearly the entire rest of the 2025 WSOP can be streamed for free thanks to the PokerStars/PokerGO combo. That includes the $250,000 No-Limit Hold’em Super High Roller event, the $50,000 Poker Players Championship, and Days 1-3 of the WSOP Main Event.

Free…to a point

Not that last part: it’s only the beginning of the Main Event. To watch the whole thing, you will still have to subscribe to PokerGO. The service used to offer a one-week free trial, but it doesn’t look like that’s the case anymore.

“The WSOP has been a leading force in live poker since 1970 and PokerStars the champion of online poker since 2001,” said Steve Preiss, Director of PokerStars North America, in a press release. “Striking this deal with PokerGO to deliver free-to-watch, localized coverage of the World Series is good for the game, great for players. It’s a milestone moment for the poker community.”

“We’re proud to welcome PokerStars as the lead sponsor of PokerGO’s 2025 WSOP livestreams,” added PokerGO President Mori Eskandani. “This collaboration brings together two of the most respected brands in poker to serve fans across the globe. With PokerGO’s world-class production and PokerStars’ reach and storytelling, we’re setting a new standard for how the WSOP is experienced around the world.”

PokerStars’ Twitch channel can be found at twitch.tv/PokerStars and its YouTube channel is at youtube.com/@PokerStars.
