Nonstop poker in Taiwan as the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTP Club) gets ready to deliver another ambitious Taiwan Millions Tournament (TMT) at the Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City.
Running from October 25 to November 4, 2024, the beloved homegrown festival will launch its first ever TMT Championship featuring a slew of exciting tournaments and a Main Event guarantee of US$ 600,000, roughly TWD 20,000,000. Unlike its low-tiered series, this one is at par with international tours with buy in set at NTD 33,000 (~US$ 1,030).
Unique to this event is the Taiwanese Calocedrus Formosana Trophy and Pure Gold Plate to be awarded to the Main Event champion. To have a chance at this beauty, four starting days are scheduled from October 31 to November 2. This is followed by Day 2 (November 3) and the Final Day (November 4).
With this event having already been announced six months prior, a large turnout is expected. In addition to a strong local force will be an impressive showing of Japanese players. Among the confirmed is 2024 WSOP Ladies Champion Shiina Okamoto, Asia’s leading female poker player.
Excluding satellites, a total of 30 trophy events are lined up which includes the Kick Off, Taipei Cup Mystery Bounty, Mini Main, and of course a variety of High Roller tournaments. Be sure to check the Player Guide for the full schedule.
