Minh Dat Dang claims Midweek Event
The first side event to hit the series’ Day 9 lineup attracted 163 (125 unique) entries, smashing the VN₫ 600,000,000 (~US$ 24,450) guarantee by double in value. Vietnam’s Minh Dat Dang emerged triumphant over the field following a four way deal across the final rounds. While runner-up finisher Zhongyang Hu claimed the largest payout, Minh takes with him the USOP trophy along with VN₫ 219,755,000 (~US$ 8,930) in winnings for his victory.

The first female crowned across the USOP Hai Phong series saw Taiwan’s Jia Chi Lee reign victorious across the Women’s Event. Lee outlasted the 29 (27 unique) entry field and claimed the VN₫ 70,104,000 (~US$ 2,850) top prize after beating Vietnam’s Thi Nga Nguyen in heads up play. For her impressive performance, Lee secured her second career USOP title to highlight her winning glory.

With only nine places paid, India’s Gagandeep Singh Malik topped the final table games following a heads up deal with Russia’s Nikolai Babushkin.
