Tao Wei Chang on the hunt for another USOP Player of the Series title
USOP Da Nang 2024 Player of the Series (POTS) Tao Wei Chang is in a good position to go for a back to back title, having won two trophy events across the 66 tournament lineup. The Taiwanese runner booked a win over at the Midweek Event just a day prior, and followed through with another victory at the 8-Handed Turbo a day following. For another worthy performance, Chang secured a larger payout of VN₫ 101,900,000 (~US$ 4,140), and jumps up to 6th rank across the Hai Phong POTS leaderboard.

Jianfeng Sun bags second series win at 6-Handed Turbo
Another multi-series winner rose to the podium with China’s Jianfeng Sun shipping a second victory at the 6-Handed Turbo Event. Sun bested the 34 (33 unique) entry field, and collected the largest listed payout after defeating Player of the Series leader Xinxing Tang across the final round. Sun added another VN₫ 60,240,000 (~US$ 2,450) in winnings on top of his Win the Button victory, notching him up higher in the green.

Johnni Nielsen & Thomas Lind bag Tag Team Event title
One of the most fun-filled tournaments across the lineup, the Tag Team Event drew in a total of 76 (55 unique) entries with only five teams collecting a payout across the list. Sweden’s Thomas Lind and Johnni Nielsen outlasted the field and captured the win after defeating local pair Thi My Phong Nguyen and Thi Hien Hoa Nguyen. Nielsen’s victory stands as his second feat across the Hai Phong series, having won the Madness Kick Off for VN₫ 1.65 Billion (~US$ 67,100) just last week.

Martin Sedlak captures maiden USOP trophy at Mini High Roller
After a ten hour grind, Martin Sedlak reigned victorious over the eighth Mini High Roller event on schedule, and locked up a VN₫ 420,000,000 (~US$ 17,080) payday for his performance. Sedlak bested the 62 (49 unique) entry field and defeated China’s Hao Chen in heads up play to close out the title. The German runner banks a career first USOP win along with another trophy added to his mantle of merits.

Tran Hai Duong wins Big Buy-in Rush Event
Day 10 finished with another trophy win for Vietnam with Tran Hai Duong claiming the Big Buy-in Rush Event title. A heads up deal was put in place with runner up finisher Khac Thang Do securing a bigger share of the VN₫ 820,620,000 (~US$ 33,440) prize pool.
