The live poker action in Asia will be heating up in a few weeks from now with several major festivals taking place in quick succession. One of the most highly-anticipated stops will be the WPT Cambodia Passport to the World Championship, which is set to take place from July 12 to 23, 2024, at the five-star NagaWorld Integrated Resort in Phnom Penh.
WPT Cambodia Passport – FULL SCHEDULE
A total of 41 tournaments are part of the schedule and the festival takes place in cooperation with Connaissance Management Limited. Both brands have hosted several very successful WPT stops at the same venue already including the first WPT Championship in Southeast Asia at the end of January. Back then, Germany’s Konstantin Held topped a field of 760 entries to take home the top prize of $361,310, which included the $10,400 seat for the 2024 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas.
The WPT World Championship is the World Poker Tour’s biggest year-ender celebration featuring multi-million USD guaranteed prize pools. Last year, the Daniel Sepiol banked over $5.28 million out of the $40 Million pot.
With the recent cancellation of the WPT Passport stop in Vietnam, the upcoming series in the Kingdom of Cambodia is one of the last chances for players to win a package for the WPT World Championship on Asian soil. The winner of the WPT Cambodia Passport Championship will earn this grand prize. Also up for grabs are six WPT Prime Championship Packages.
WPT Cambodia Passport Championship
The $1,300 WPT Cambodia Passport Championship Event comes with a $500,000 guarantee and the winner will not only take home a cash prize but also the coveted World Championship package valued at $12,230. This includes the $10,400 seat and seven nights of accommodation in Sin City for one of the biggest live poker events of the year. The second and third place finisher in this tournament will also earn a trip to Las Vegas with a $1,100 WPT Prime Championship allotted for them. Full event details and structure was recently revealed.
Just as desired are WPT Prime Championship $1,100 seats with another four of these awarded to the winners of select festival tournaments in Cambodia including the remaining two marquee events boasting a guaranteed prize pool:

For example, the special room rates at the host venue start from as low as $55 per night and include additional dining credits depending on the number of nights booked. With at least three nights booked, $20 dining credits are awarded and that leads all the way up to $140 for 15 nights confirmed.
There is even a special hotel promotion for High Rollers which provides free accommodation at Naga 1, the tower in which the Grand Ballroom is hosting all tournaments. Daily breakfast at The Pangea is included with the Deluxe Room accommodation but the booking requests must be submitted before June 25 – the promotion is also limited to the first 50 players signed up so better hurry up!
With four qualifying High Roller tournaments played, five free nights will be granted whereas 12 tournaments increase that tally to 13 free nights. Entries and re-entries are counting towards the credit.
For those showing up from the very first minute, there is also another early bird promotion available as well. With Day 1 of the series taking place on July 12, the first three tournaments on the schedule can unlock further value. This includes Event #1 NagaWorld SuperStack, Event #2 Deepstack Mini High Roller and Day 1a of Event #3 Championship Warm Up. Everyone seated before the end of level one in these tournaments will receive either a 30-minute massage voucher worth $25 or a 60-minute massage voucher worth $45.
The last few years have shown that WPT-sponsored tournaments in Phnom Penh have been very popular with attendance and prize pool records being set by the leader in global live poker events. One thing is for sure – the upcoming WPT Cambodia Passport to the World Championship from July 12 to 23, 2024, is one event in South East Asia not to be missed.
