In Hand #7 of hand-for-hand play on the Money Bubble, there were three all-in-and-call situations, and the field needed to lose at least two players to burst the Money Bubble.

On the featured table, David Adam-Castrillo was forced all in from the big blind, and since this is a “big blind first” casino, 4,000 went to the ante, and the remaining 10,000 went to the big blind.

Elvyn Bello limped under the gun, Niall Costigan raised UTG+1 to about 33,000, and Bello folded.

Adam-Castrillo showed 10d3c, and he needed to improve to stay alive against Costigan’s Qs6s.

The board came 9s9h3hKs7h, and Adam-Castrillo paired his three on the flop to win the pot and double up in chips.

Money Bubble Hand

Out in the tournament area, the same player who chopped the previous hand was forced all in from the big blind with Js3h, and he needed to improve to stay alive against his opponent’s AsKh.

The board came AcJh9s10c10s, and the bigger stack won the pot with a higher two pair, aces and tens, to eliminate the short stack.

The third table also had an elimination, and with two eliminations, the Money Bubble had burst, and the remaining 146 players were in the money.

With 146 players remaining from a field of 1,162, the average chip stack is around 398,000 (40 big blinds). The remaining players are guaranteed at least $6,400 each.

Action will continue tonight until the end of Level 20 (around 12:20 am).
