Octopi Poker

The idea arose in 2022 after a conversation between poker professionals and tech visionaries: Victoria Livschitz, Nick Schulman, Phil Shing, and Andrew Lichtenberger. They all agreed on the limitations of current study tools and were excited about the opportunities AI brought to the game. They felt it was time to reinvent how poker was studied, and thus Octopi Poker was born.

Johan Schultz-Pedersen known for his expertise in poker theory and high-quality simulations and Max Gorbunov, an exceptional engineer formerly at Google, joined the team. In 2024, Stephen Chidwick, second on the All Time Money List with $77 million in earnings and considered one of the best players in the world by his peers, joined the team as well.

The platform transformed how players analyze hands, train with AI-driven tools, and engage with a like-minded community and a unique blend of poker expertise and technical excellence. Octopi Poker continues to evolve and grow, and the addition of Thomas Boivin is a significant step forward, demonstrating their commitment to improving the gaming experience for their customers.
