We found Joel Harwood grinding a stack in the middle of the room, a sight we’re not used to seeing. More often than not, we see him working his way through non-hold’em fields where he’s always in contention for a trophy.
Harwood is part of a very talented family; daughter Loni Hui has two WSOP bracelets and five WSOP Circuit rings while son-in-law Phil has four bracelets and five rings.
While we don’t see Harwood in two-card action very often, his biggest career cash came in No-Limit Hold’em when he finished 12th of 1,070 entries in the $5,300 buy-in SHRPO Championship in 2023 for $68,500. Harwood also owns a guitar pick trophy when he won the 2018 SHRPO $360 PLO8 title.
