The players return from break to begin Level 9, with increased blinds of 1,000-1,500 and a 1,500 ante.

Registration is now closed, and the tournament clock shows an unofficial field size of 582 entries. This is the first of two starting flights, and Day 1B begins tomorrow at 11:00 am. There is already more than $1.86 million in the prizepool, and we should easily smash the $2 million guarantee tomorrow.

A scan of the field during the break turned up five players with at least 300K in chips, plus one more knocking on the door to create an unofficial leaderboard:

1.  Timothy Mulroy  –  347,000  (231 bb)
2.  Yingui Li  –  332,500  (222 bb)
3.  Frank Funaro  –  318,500  (212 bb)
4.  Ricky Landais  –  314,500  (210 bb)
5.  George Tokarczyk  –  308,000  (205 bb)
6.  Michael Dwyer  –  294,000  (196 bb)

Action will continue tonight after dinner until the end of Level 10 (around 11:15 pm).
