After a flop of 9d8s5h, the big blind checked, and Steve Buckner bet 10,000 from middle position. Harsheel Kothari called from the cutoff, and the big blind check-raised all in for 51,500.

Buckner tanked for a long time before he folded, and Kothari called with JsJd. The big blind turned over 9c6c for a pair of nines with a gutshot straight draw, and needed to improve to stay alive.

Buckner insisted that he folded the other two jacks.

The turn card was the 10d, the river card paired the board with the 5d, and Kothari won the pot with his pocket jacks to eliminate the big blind from the tournament.

Harsheel Kothari  –  195,000  (98 bb)

With about 175 players remaining from a Day 1B field of 456, the average chip stack is about 130,000 (65 big blinds).
