Matthew Peng opened to 200,000 from the cutoff and Joel Gola moved all in from the small blind to get a fold from Hyndi Khomutetsky in the big. Peng called at risk for 1,775,000 after using a few time chips to fade the action on the other table.

It was a race and Peng needed to improve to stay in the Championship. It was Gola improving on the 8h5c3d flop with a set of eights. Peng picked up a gutshot wheel draw on the 4d turn but blanked the Js river to exit in 13th place.
