A runner-up finish can haunt a player for years, but Spain’s Daniel Vicente turned that frustration into gold by winning his first World Series of Poker bracelet in the $1,000 Mystery Bounty Pot-Limit Omaha event on GGPoker, according to PokerNews. Vicente had previously finished second in the $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Handed Championship at the 2025 WSOP in Las Vegas, making the victory a measure of redemption. His combined total — $45,130 in bounties alongside $54,311 in prize money — came to $99,441, with his account listed under the Dominican Republic in the GGPoker lobby.
PokerNews reported that the event drew 771 entrants and generated a $732,450 prize pool, with the field whittled down to 12 survivors on Day 1. That opening session produced its own headline moment when a $91,000 mystery bounty was credited to Daniel Daw’s GGPoker account. Day 2 saw the elimination of several notable names, including Simon Mattsson, Diego Zeiter, Lex Veldhuis, and Dimitrios Michailidis, while chip leader Alex Zev of China ultimately finished eighth, bursting the final-table bubble, per PokerNews.
The final table itself unfolded across six eliminations before Vicente reached heads-up play. Eduardo “Scanner-” Bernal departed in seventh for $10,651, followed by Matheus Grazziotin in sixth at $29,681, “Mger_Aleksani” of Armenia in fifth for $31,638, “MACHINAA” of Taiwan in fourth at $22,862, and “BBHDAMT7angels” of Cyprus in third for $32,868. Vicente then defeated Renan Bruschi in the heads-up match to claim the bracelet, according to PokerNews.
Along with the bracelet, Vicente received a $30,000 Super Pass for the 2026 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event. PokerNews also noted that another bracelet was scheduled to be awarded on August 22 in the #5: $100 Flip & Go NLH event.
