Football Superstar Neymar loses €1million Playing Online Poker

Injury-plagued Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar had a terrible evening, losing a lot of money at poker and then having his Twitter account hacked.

The Brazilian legend will miss the remainder of the season after having ankle surgery in March and is spending part of his free time playing poker, his second hobby.

Neymar has been spotted playing in casinos regularly and has even participated in the European Poker Tour. Some of his rivals have suggested that he may be able to pursue this as a professional career.

When he’s not playing live poker, you can find him trying his luck at online games and streaming on Twitch, where he often wins an impressive sum.

Big Loss

On Thursday night, things took a surprising turn for the 31-year-old. Neymar lost a staggering €1 million, approximately £880,000. His reaction was entirely unexpected as he pretended to cry and then let out a scream.

He then exclaimed ‘oh f**k’ with a chuckle before joining in with the off-key flute music.

Since arriving in the French capital in 2017, the forward has faced numerous challenges due to injuries. In the 2021/22 season, the Brazilian player made 22 appearances in Ligue 1, the highest number for him in a single season.
