George Cottrel Loses £16 Million in a Private High Stakes Poker Game

Reports circulated in the gambling world that George Cottrell, a former trusted advisor to Nigel Farage, recently lost a staggering £16 million in a private, high-stakes poker game in Montenegro.

Big Loss

The wealthy banker, who used to date Georgia Toffolo, winner of I’m A Celebrity, is rumored to have participated in a high-stakes poker game with Chinese billionaires, Hollywood celebrities, and renowned professional poker players. Unfortunately, he lost a significant amount of money in just one sitting.

Before the game, a British poker player took to social media to express his frustration, stating that the stakes were too big. He stated that to see the flop would require £160,000

Cottrell, who had served an eight-month sentence in a U.S. prison for wire fraud following his 2016 arrest, was reportedly having a good time until the early morning hours of last Thursday when his fortune took a turn for the worse.

Currently underway at the luxurious Maestral Casino in Budva, the Triton Poker Series attracts top-tier players worldwide. Its live video stream has captivated thousands of online viewers, making this high-stakes tournament a must-watch event.

Reputable sources claim Cottrell incurred significant losses in a private VIP room. However, Cottrell could not be reached for comment last night.

He had a significant influence during the Brexit campaign, serving as a treasurer for Ukip. However, shortly after the Brexit vote, the financier, who is often referred to as ‘posh George,’ was apprehended in the U.S. for engaging in illegal activities by providing money laundering services to undercover federal agents.

Initially facing a staggering 21 felonies, Cottrel ultimately found some relief when prosecutors decided to dismiss all but one count of wire fraud. Eventually, he pleaded guilty to this remaining charge. He completed his sentence and was released from jail after eight months.

A Big Whale

According to sources, Cottrell’s recent poker performance has been disastrous. As a result, his peers view him as the epitome of a ‘whale’ – a player with deep pockets willing to take significant risks but often seen as an easy target for more experienced opponents.
