Championship Day 1A: Julian Pineda Lozano and David Peters Chop with Ace-King to Knock Out a Player

$3,500 LHPO Championship (Re-Entry)
$2,000,000 Guaranteed  |  Structure | Live Stream
Level 6:  400/800 with an 800 ante
Day 1A Entries:  475

David Peters

A player raised under the gun to 2,000, David Peter called UTG+1, and Bin Weng reraised from the hijack to 5,000. Julian Pineda Lozano reraised from the big blind to 12,000.

The initial raiser called, and Peters thought for a while before he moved all in for roughly 60,000.

Weng quickly folded, Lozano called, and the UTG player called all in with the shortest stack.

Julian Pineda Lozano:  AdKh
David Peters:  AcKd
UTG Player:  10h9h

The board came KcQh3dQd9s, and Lozano and Peters chop the pot with identical hands — two pair, kings and queens, with an ace kicker, to eliminate the UTG player.

Julian Pineda Lozano  –  205,000  (256 bb)
David Peters  –  93,000  (116 bb)

The tournament clock shows 475 entries so far, and the prizepool is worth $1.52 million on its way to the $2 million guarantee. Registration remains open with unlimited re-entries until the start of Level 9, around 9:15 pm.

There will be a 90-minute dinner break after this level (5:30 pm), and action will continue tonight until the end of Level 10 (around 11:15 pm).
